United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a System Administrator for a fully remote role, contractors residing in Brazil are welcome. You will manage enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, focusing on availability, scalability, and security across AWS environments.

Requires 2+ years AWS, Linux administration, and strong scripting skills. You will join a responsive team, participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, and communicate effectively in English within an agile setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Advanced to fluent English communication skills are essential.
• Familiar with Linux System Administration.
• Scripting experience in Python and Shell is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols.
• Experience with web accelerators, load balancers, reverse proxies, and CDNs.
• Ability to work in an agile/fast-paced environment.
• Customer-oriented with good communication skills.
• Willing to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Document cloud hosting systems, including capacity planning, software and instance type selection, allocation, and network design.
• Build systems by executing installation, configuration, and testing of cloud resources.
• Use automation and configuration management to ensure repeatability and traceability of changes.
• Troubleshoot system hardware, software, networks, and operating systems.
• Protect the integrity and security of systems by implementing access controls and monitoring tools.
• Maintain system performance through monitoring and tuning.
• Maintain internal systems and customer deployment documentation.
• Part of a 24x7 on-call rotation (approx. one week on call, one week on backup per month).
• Respond to support tickets and incidents in a timely manner per SLA.
• Participate in learning opportunities and keep knowledge up to date.
