Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to design, develop, and support secure, scalable cloud-native data solutions for enterprise financial workflows. Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience building AWS cloud-native solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon DynamoDB, including data modeling, access patterns, indexing, query design, and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of AWS security and access management (IAM, KMS, encryption, least privilege).
• Experience developing serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting with Amazon CloudWatch.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform or equivalent.
• Programming/automation with Python and/or Node.js.
• Experience with Git-based CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Understanding of secure API integrations and production support.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable AWS data stores and cloud-native data solutions.
• Develop DynamoDB data models and indexing strategies for performance.
• Build and maintain serverless components using AWS Lambda and related services.
• Create secure integrations between data services, APIs, and enterprise apps.
• Apply IAM/KMS-based security controls and encryption.
• Configure CloudWatch for monitoring, logging, and alerts.
• Design backup, recovery, and data protection strategies.
• Maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Develop automation scripts and data processing logic (Python/Node.js).
• Establish CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Troubleshoot data, integration, and infrastructure issues; propose improvements.
• Set development standards for testing, observability, security, and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, security, and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Support lifecycle from development to production operations and ongoing improvement.
• Document architecture, data models, security controls, deployment procedures, and operational processes.
