Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer in Whippany, NJ. You will design, build, and optimize scalable cloud-based data solutions on AWS to support analytics and ML initiatives.

The role combines ETL/ELT development, data warehousing, and data lake strategies using S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena and more. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data engineering with Python, SQL, Spark, and Terraform/CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of Data Engineering and cloud-based data platforms experience.
• Strong hands-on with AWS data services: S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, DynamoDB.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and ETL/ELT development.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data architectures on AWS.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Develop real-time and batch data ingestion pipelines.
• Utilize Spark, Python, and Scala for data transformation workflows.
• Implement data quality checks and automated error handling.
