Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to lead the end-to-end migration of VMware workloads to AWS using AI-driven tooling. You will define cloud architecture, migration strategy, governance standards, and drive technical execution while mentoring architects, engineers, and stakeholders.

The role requires 15+ years of experience, remote work, and a strong background in AWS services, IaC (Terraform), migration tools, and cloud security. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Core cloud architecture and migration leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and security controls.
• Experience with IaC, CI/CD, and migration tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, assessment, and migration planning for AWS migrations.
• Define target landing zone architecture and roadmaps.
• Drive AI-enabled migration workflows and automated validation.
• Provide technical leadership across VMware-to-AWS migrations and modernization.
