Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to lead end-to-end migration of VMware workloads to AWS using Agentic AI-driven solutions. You will define cloud architecture, migration strategy, and governance while guiding architects, engineers, and stakeholders through the transformation program.

Responsibilities include discovery, architecture design, AI-enabled migration enablement, and modernization initiatives with EC2/ECS/EKS, serverless, and IaC.

Qualifications

• Lead VMware-to-AWS migration using Agentic AI-driven solutions.
• Define target AWS landing zone architecture with security, networking, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure and application discovery and assess readiness for AWS migration using platforms like Matilda, AWS Discovery, Device42.
• Define migration roadmaps, sizing, and cost models; design AWS infrastructure with EC2, ECS/EKS, FSx, EFS, Route 53, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, API Gateway, Lambda.
• Lead AI-driven migration enablement including agent design and automation to accelerate migration activities.
• Oversee VMware workload migration using AWS MGN and modernization efforts like containerization to ECS/EKS.
• Enforce IaC standards with Terraform; establish reusable patterns and deployment best practices.
• Mentor architects and act as trusted advisor to client executives and Architecture Review Boards.
