Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services seeks a senior enterprise architect to lead large VMware/VMC exit programs to AWS, encompassing discovery, target architecture, and migration waves. The role requires deep AWS, VMware, security, and governance knowledge to deliver compliant, resilient cloud outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years of technology architecture/engineering experience, incl. 5+ years AWS cloud migration/modernization or data center exit.
• Experience architecting VMware or VMC exit programs from discovery to decommissioning.
• Strong hands-on architecture across VMware estates, AWS landing zones, networking, security, compute, storage, databases, and cloud operations.
• Experience defining workload disposition: rehost, replatform, refactor, retire, retain, repurchase.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end target solution architecture for VMware/VMC exit to AWS.
• Lead discovery and architecture assessment across apps, infra, networks, data, and dependencies.
• Design AWS landing zone, account structure, IAM, networking, security, backup, and DR.
• Develop migration-wave architectures and reference patterns for various app/infrastructure scenarios.
• Ensure AI-generated findings are traceable and validated with Human-in-the-Loop approvals.
