Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to lead the end-to-end migration of VMware workloads to AWS using AI-driven tools. You will define cloud architecture, migration strategy, and governance standards while guiding architects, engineers, and stakeholders through the transformation program.

You will drive AI-enabled migration execution, modernize workloads with containerization to ECS/EKS, and ensure security, scalability, and operational excellence across the migration lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in cloud architecture and AWS migrations.
• Experience leading AI-driven migration initiatives and governance.
• Strong cost modeling, security, and enterprise architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead VMware to AWS migrations using Agentic AI platforms and AWS services.
• Define target AWS landing zone, roadmaps, sizing, and cost models.
• Architect scalable, secure cloud solutions with high reliability and governance.
• Oversee migration execution, validation, cutover, and post-migration verification activities.
• Establish IaC standards with Terraform and integrate CI/CD tooling.
• Provide leadership to architects, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the program.
