Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) seeks a senior enterprise architect to lead end-to-end VMware/VMC exit to AWS. You will drive discovery, target-state architectures, and migration wave design across global teams, ensuring security, compliance, and resilience while enabling cost-effective cloud adoption.

The role requires deep AWS and VMware expertise, strong IaC skills, and experience with AI-assisted migration planning. On-site in Charlotte, NC with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years in technology architecture/engineering with 5+ years in AWS cloud migration or data center exit.
• Experience leading VMware/VMC exit programs end-to-end (discovery to decommissioning).
• Strong hands-on architecture across VMware, AWS, networking, identity, security, compute, storage, observability, and DR.
• Experience defining workload disposition and migration patterns (rehost, replatform, refactor, retire, retain, repurchase).
• Experience applying AI/automation/analytics to accelerate discovery, planning, testing, and migration execution.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end target solution architecture for enterprise VMware/VMC exit to AWS, aligned to security and compliance.
• Lead current-state discovery and architecture assessment across applications, infra, and networks.
• Develop migration-wave architecture packages covering source/target designs and data movement.
• Provide technical leadership and design assurance to cross-functional teams across global delivery locations.
