Job summary

Mutual of Omaha is seeking an AWS CDK / TypeScript Platform Engineer to join the Common Technology Platform Agile Release Train within the Department of Cloud. You will design and automate secure AWS solutions and advance our IaC capabilities across the enterprise.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline developer experiences, implement reusable components, and lead automation for scalable cloud platforms from configuration to monitoring.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with TypeScript and/or Python.
• Strong AWS experience with CDK and scripting for AWS services.
• IaC experience automating cloud services in a single cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and automate infrastructure using AWS CDK and IaC.
• Partner with teams to improve developer experience with self-service tools.
• Develop scalable, automated cloud infrastructure with reusable components.
• Lead automation for distributed cloud platforms including deployment and monitoring.
• Build secure cloud networks with load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs.
