Job summary

Synchrony seeks an AVP, Solution Architect in Alpharetta, GA to lead solution design and set architectural direction for multiple applications. You will partner with stakeholders to shape the product vision and ensure outcomes deliver business value while guiding one to two Agile teams through the SDLC.

You will translate requirements into scalable, secure designs, drive technology choices, and collaborate with Enterprise Architects to align with enterprise standards and strategic technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 7+ years in IT disciplines; or 9+ years with a High School Diploma/GED.
• 7+ years of full-stack development using Java/JEE, APIs, microservices, and modern UI frameworks.
• 5+ years in application architecture and design with strong design pattern knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and integrate information systems to meet defined business needs.
• Lead delivery through the SDLC and provide technical direction to designers and developers.
• Evaluate technologies, define target framework and stack, and ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Oversee engineering quality, integration, and security across systems.
