Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an AVP, Solution Architect to lead solution design and set the technical direction for one or more applications or services. You will guide one to two Agile teams, balancing technical depth with business acumen, and collaborate with Enterprise Architects to ensure enterprise alignment.

This role requires strong communication, governance, and hands-on leadership to deliver scalable, secure systems and strong customer outcomes. Travel may be required based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree with 7+ years of IT experience.
• Full-stack development using Spring/JEE, APIs, microservices, and modern UI frameworks.
• Experience in application architecture and design with design patterns.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and integrate information systems that meet defined business needs across the SDLC.
• Lead delivery through the SDLC: provide hands-ons guidance to teams to build the prescribed solution.
• Make technology and architecture decisions, balancing standards, delivery timelines, cost, risk, and business outcomes.
