Job summary

Berkley Alliance Managers is seeking an AVP, Senior Claims Examiner to manage claims notices, reserves, and coverage analysis for professional liability and related coverages.

The role oversees outside defense counsel, supports risk management, and contributes to marketing and education efforts. Travel may be involved; JD preferred but not required. This Senior role requires strong analytical skills and loss prevention focus.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of claims experience is preferred.
• Experience handling professional liability claims for design or construction professionals is valued.
• Strong analytical and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of claims notices and files for professional liability.
• Manage outside defense and coverage counsel for claims and pre-claims.
• Support marketing, risk management, finance, and actuarial functions as needed.
• Engage in continual learning and innovation within the company.
