Job summary

Berkley Alliance Managers is seeking an AVP, Senior Claims Examiner to manage all aspects of professional liability claims, including notices, coverage analysis and reserves. The role involves coordinating with defense counsel and supporting risk management, finance and actuarial teams across multiple product lines.

The position requires BA/BS with 8–10 years of claims experience and ideally a JD. Licenses in applicable states are expected; travel is involved as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• JD preferred but not required.
• 8–10 years of claims-related experience.
• Experience handling professional liability claims.
• Legal or law firm experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of claims notices and files for professional liability and related coverages.
• Engage in reserve setting, reporting, and reinsurance analysis.
• Coordinate with outside defense and coverage counsel and travel as needed.
• Support marketing, risk management, finance and actuarial teams.
• Contribute to education materials and loss prevention initiatives.
