Job summary

Momentive in Detroit, MI, is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to drive automotive materials solutions across EV/batteries, ADAS, and power electronics. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to OEMs, Tier 1s, and electronics manufacturers, translating complex requirements into actionable Momentive solutions.

In this customer-facing role, you will present, demonstrate, and validate materials, manage opportunities in CRM, collaborate with Marketing, Product Management and R&D, and travel up

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical sales, application engineering, business development, or related commercial experience in materials/electronics/automotive.
• Experience with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or electronics manufacturers.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for engineering and business audiences.
• Valid driver's license and passport; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop opportunities for Momentive's Electronic Materials in automotive applications.
• Engage with OEMs, Tier 1/2 suppliers, and channel partners to qualify opportunities.
• Promote materials through presentations, demonstrations, and customer engagements.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, ADE, and R&D to capture customer needs.
• Maintain CRM opportunity pipeline and prepare technical/ business reviews.
