Placements24's client, a leading innovator in automotive technology, is seeking a Remote Automotive Diagnostic Software Engineer to join a global team. You will design and implement diagnostic software for vehicle systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

We expect strong programming skills (C++, Python, or Java), plus knowledge of CAN/LIN as well as UDS/OBD-II; experience with Git and debugging tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, EE, or related field.
• Proven software development experience with embedded or automotive software.
• Strong C++, Python, or Java skills and diagnostic protocol knowledge.
• Familiarity with CAN/LIN and standards like UDS/OBD-II.
• Experience with debugging tools and version control (Git).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement diagnostic software modules for vehicle systems.
• Write clean, documented code in C++, Python, or Java.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects on requirements and integration.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot issues and contribute to process improvements.
