Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As Automation Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap, building production systems on top of AI models rather than training them.

You will work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to turn a documented roadmap into shipped automation workflows. You will build agentic workflows using LangChain/LangGraph, integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, and create internal

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.
