Job summary

Caterpillar’s Electric Power Division is seeking a professional to design, develop, and implement generator control switchgear systems. You will deliver automation and control solutions for complex power systems, working independently and with teams to execute retrofit and new projects from concept to commissioning.

Qualifications

Experience with automation and controls, including PLC-based systems and HMIs.
Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
Knowledge of power systems, switchgear, ATS, and generator systems.

Responsibilities

Identify retrofit opportunities and define project scope with Dealer and Factory teams.
Design, program, test, and commission low- and medium-voltage generator control systems.
Convert legacy PLC programs and develop PLC/HMI applications.
