Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an experienced Autodesk Inventor Specialist to contribute to an AI-enabled mechanical engineering project. You will create, review and refine parametric CAD models and technical drawings, applying GD&T and DFM to support manufacturability.

This remote contractor role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and documentation of design decisions. Strong Inventor skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on parametric CAD modeling experience in Inventor or equivalent.
• Solid GD&T experience per ASME Y14.5 standards.
• DFM-focused design experience across plastics and metal processes.
• Ability to interpret and create detailed engineering drawings.
• Strong documentation and design rationale writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop parametric 3D CAD models of parts and assemblies using Inventor.
• Modify and update CAD models while maintaining parametric integrity.
• Audit CAD models for dimensional accuracy and manufacturability.
• Create and interpret detailed drawings per GD&T standards.
• Apply DFM across injection molding, sheet metal, CNC, and casting.
• Document design decisions and engineering rationale for AI datasets.
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams and provide feedback.
