Job summary

UAIC is seeking an Insurance Fraud Investigator I (SIU) to conduct field and desk investigations into high-complexity auto fraud. The role involves collaboration with NICB, law enforcement, and external vendors to protect company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

The position requires strong analytical, interviewing, and data interpretation skills, with a focus on thoroughness, quality, timeliness, and cost control. Remote role, in South Florida region.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred and/or 5 years of related work experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required; strong communication skills in both languages.
• Knowledge of CPT codes and medical terminology is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and interview skills; ability to interpret data and trends.
• Experience with insurance fraud investigations and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinic inspections and examinations under oath.
• Conduct in-depth research of suspected fraudulent patterns to develop evidence.
• Collect and interpret data from reports to identify patterns of medical modalities and practices.
• Maintain investigation files and prepare comprehensive reports upon completion.
• Mentor and coach less experienced investigators and share best practices.
