Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner, Auto | Commercial Bodily Injury to analyze and process complex bodily injury auto and commercial transportation claims. The role reviews coverage, investigates liability, and evaluates damages to resolve claims promptly for our clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; professional certification as applicable to line of business is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication, including presentations.
• PC literate with Microsoft Office products; able to work in a team environment.
• State adjusting licenses must be secured and maintained as required.

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto, commercial, and personal line claims with proper documentation and coding.
• Manages litigation processes on litigated claims.
• Coordinates vendor management and independent adjusters for investigations.
• Reports large claims to excess carriers as needed.
• Develops action plans to meet state contact deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; handles salvage disposition.
• Communicates claim actions with insureds, clients, and brokers as appropriate.
• Performs other duties and supports the organization’s quality programs.
