Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking an experienced Claim Examiner to analyze and process complex bodily injury auto and commercial transportation claims, review coverage, investigations, liability, and damages to support timely resolutions.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in claims management, a bachelor’s degree, and strong communication skills, with licensing requirements to be secured as needed. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• Five years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Professional certification as applicable to line of business.
• Strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills, PC literacy with Microsoft Office products and teamwork.
• Secure and maintain state adjusting licenses as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto, commercial and personal line claims, including bodily injury, and ensures files are properly documented and coded.
• Responsible for litigation process on litigated claims.
• Coordinates vendor management, including independent adjusters for investigations.
• Reports large claims to excess carrier(s).
• Develops and maintains action plans to meet state contact deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies and pursues subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; manages salvage disposal.
