Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking an experienced Auto Adjuster / Total Loss Settlement Specialist to manage auto claims and total loss settlements from assignment to closure. The role emphasizes liability assessment, negotiation, and customer service for both personal and commercial lines.

Ideal candidates have strong negotiation skills and a track record of accurate settlements in line with client standards. This is a telecommuter position in Texas with full-time hours and opportunities to support program

Qualifications

• Four (4) or more years of auto claims handling or related claims management experience.
• Experience handling total loss claims and negotiating settlements.
• Experience with standard and non-standard auto claims (personal and commercial).
• Prior exposure to insurance carriers, TPAs, or independent adjusting firms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage auto claims from assignment through resolution.
• Complete statements with insureds, claimants, and witnesses when needed.
• Review police reports, accident reports, and supporting documentation.
• Determine liability and analyze damages, coverage, and claim exposure.
• Establish claim reserves and negotiate settlements within authority.
• Coordinate total loss handling, ACV determinations, and salvage processes.
• Maintain clear, compliant claim documentation for stakeholders.
• Communicate status and settlement offers to claimants and clients.

Education

Current adjuster's license or ability to obtain and maintain required state licenses
