Job summary

Sedgwick seeks a seasoned Claims Team Lead to supervise multiple examiner teams across liability claims. The role requires guiding workloads, training staff, and delivering technical direction on adjudication while maintaining client relationships.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's degree, 6 years of claims experience including 2 years in supervision, and strong MS Office skills. The position supports a remote, national footprint with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Licenses as required. Professional certifications as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Six (6) years of claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include two (2) years claims supervisor experience.
• Thorough knowledge of claims management processes and procedures for multiple product lines, excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills, PC literate, including Microsoft Office products, leadership/management skills, analytical and interpretive skills, ability to work in a team environment, and the ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies

Responsibilities

• Supervises multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for liability claims.
• Identifies trends, problems, and issues; recommends actions and informs management of new procedures.
• Provides technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication.
• Compiles reviews and analyzes management reports and takes action.
• Performs quality review on claims in compliance with audit requirements and quality standards.
• Acts as second level of appeal for client and claimant issues and implements final disposition.
• Reviews reserve amounts on high-cost claims and claims beyond authority.
• Monitors third party claims and litigated claims as determined by client.
• Maintains contact with the client on claims and promotes a professional client relationship.
• Ensures reports are properly licensed and documentation is adequate.
• Performs other duties as assigned and supports the organization's quality programs.
