Job summary

Connect America is hiring an Authorization Representative for a full-time clerical position that can be 100% remote in the United States. The role involves handling inbound/outbound calls, obtaining authorizations for Medicaid-type agencies, and data entry across multiple portals.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years in call center or healthcare billing. Proficient MS Word/Excel/Outlook and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and/or GED.
• 1-3 years' experience in call center and/or customer service-related position.
• 1+ years in billing/office side of healthcare industry.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls and provide excellent customer service.
• Request authorizations for State funded/Medicaid-type agencies.
• Follow up on outstanding authorizations or prebilling issues via portals, calls, emails or faxes.
• Data entry of client information into portals.
• Support to other team members as needed.
• Communicate daily numbers and any delays with the Supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information with the Business office.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
