Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Executive Financial Associate to support audit teams reviewing financial and operational practices in the Central Audits Division. The role emphasizes analytical and auditing work, including risk assessments and development of audit programs.

You will interpret contracts and regulations, conduct testing with sampling methods, and prepare organized workpapers in TeamMate.

Qualifications

• Three years as an Accounting Assistant with 21 college credits in accounting and an additional 3 credits in finance or accounting; or
• Two years as a Fiscal Technician with 21 college credits in accounting and an additional 3 credits in finance or accounting; or
• A bachelor’s degree including 21 credits in accounting and an additional 3 credits in finance or accounting; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 21 college credits in accounting and an additional 3 credits in finance or accounting.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Responsibilities

• Audit Support: Assist in financial and performance audits and related reviews
• Risk Analysis: Help develop risk assessments linked to audit objectives
• Program Development: Contribute to building audit programs and defining audit objectives
• Document Review: Interpret contracts, policies, and regulations to support audit work
• Testing Procedures: Conduct audit testing and use sampling methods to gather evidence
• Workpaper Preparation: Create and organize workpapers within TeamMate
