Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an Assurance Senior Manager in California to develop improvements to client internal controls and accounting procedures, advise on GAAP/GAAS and regulatory risks, and lead the audit plan with a focus on quality and client service.

You will market and network to grow the practice, supervise staff, and serve as the primary client contact for complex questions while contributing to the Assurance leadership team across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures
• Advise clients on economic and regulatory risks in a specific industry
• Formulate and communicate audit plan; GAAP/GAAS expertise
• Marketing, networking and business development within area of expertise
• Supervise audit team and review workpapers and conclusions
• Provide on-the-job training to engagement staff
• Lead client communications with Audit Committee and management
• Plan audit process and oversee execution with quality and efficiency

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Statistics

Master's degree in Accountancy
