Job summary

All American Hearing is seeking an Audiology Extern who will complete university and ASHA requirements for the Au.D. degree and gain hands-on experience in hearing aid fittings, diagnostics, counseling, and aural rehabilitation.

The extern will work under a Preceptor, may participate in TeleHear services, and will learn testing procedures, patient care, and sales protocols while adhering to state laws and AA policy.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in accredited Audiology graduate program and good standing; eligible for Externship year.
• Obtain Audiology and Dispensing Temporary Licensure if required by state law.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply audiology software and testing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostics including pure tone and speech audiometry, immittance, and tinnitus evaluations.
• Assist with fitting and verification of hearing aids and accessories.
• Provide patient counseling and follow-up care per clinical protocols.
• Maintain patient records and SOAP notes in the clinic system.
• Support office activities including marketing and regulatory compliance.
