Job summary

Turing is seeking a QA Specialist to join a project developing evaluation-grade, multilingual audio transcripts. You will review end-to-end quality of audio recordings and human-verified annotations to ensure accuracy and privacy compliance.

Contractor assignment with an 8-week duration. This fully remote role offers work on cutting-edge AI evaluation projects and opportunities to provide detailed feedback to ensure low error rates and precise metadata tagging.

Qualifications

• Exceptional ear for audio fidelity and the ability to detect subtle background noises, channel bleed, or clipping.
• Meticulous attention to detail for verifying word-level timestamps and strict, unnormalized verbatim transcription rules.
• Native proficiency in Arabic
• Ability to accurately assess complex multi-speaker dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate multi-channel audio recordings to ensure they meet strict technical and fidelity requirements.
• Verify channel isolation and confirm recordings were captured in quiet environments free from noise, clipping, or low gain.
• Review human-validated transcriptions to ensure high accuracy and low WER targets.
• Ensure transcripts capture spontaneous speech, overlaps, interruptions, and disfluencies accurately.
• Validate turn-level and word-level timestamps and speaker identification, including overlapping dialogue.
• Verify accuracy of metadata, demographic markers, and conversational tags.
• Audit sessions for PII, harmful or sensitive content to enforce privacy and safety standards.
• Provide actionable feedback and reasons when disagreeing with annotators’ work.
