InvestigateWest is seeking an Audience Engagement Manager to strengthen links between our newsroom and communities across the Pacific Northwest. You will lead our web and social strategy to maximize reach of investigations, engage new audiences, and measure impact.

You’ll build audience-centered programs, develop explainers and companion content, and collaborate with editors to expand distribution, partnerships, and membership growth across three states.

Competenze

• Demonstrated experience in audience engagement, newsletter strategy or community-centered storytelling.
• Strong writing and editing skills, sound editorial judgment and a commitment to fairness and accuracy.
• Comfort using analytics to make decisions (experience with GA4 and email and social analytics preferred).
• Experience with or interest in building partnerships and running community events or programming.
• A collaborative working style and the ability to manage multiple projects with clear priorities.
• A commitment to serving diverse communities and improving access to civic information.

Mansioni

• Distribute and grow audiences: Lead our newsletter program and oversee social media, SEO, and distribution for major investigations with partners and communities.
• Collaborate with editors and reporters on publication and distribution strategies to maximize reach and impact.
• Monitor web, newsletter, and social performance with analytics and track policy impact and government responses.
• Serve as a primary liaison between the newsroom, readers, and community partners; build relationships with community organizations.
• Plan and produce community events, such as listening sessions, Q&As, panels, and forums; develop engagement products for major projects.
• Grow our membership program with emphasis on small-dollar and monthly giving; package impact stories for donors.
• Ensure content meets accessibility standards and extend reach to rural and low-income communities.
