Nights and weekends are required, with a contract through 12/31/2026. Applicants should have strong background in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro) and a journalism mindset, with the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Experience editing news, vertical and social video in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Genuine interest in sports and journalism background helpful.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with video producers and editors to put together engaging stories from reporters in the field.
• Follow The Athletic’s style guide and formats to produce content.
• Train reporters on best practices for filming video on their phones and guide them through the production process.
• Edit footage from reporters into compelling stories with clear narratives.
