Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking an Associate Manager, Inpatient/Outpatient Coding Review to supervise a diverse team of Certified Coders, DRG auditors, and Nurse Reviewers. You will audit inpatient and outpatient records to ensure accurate coding, identify discrepancies, and recoverable opportunities while supporting regulatory integrity for clients.

You will implement quality assurance processes, mentor staff, monitor KPIs, and report outcomes to leadership.

Qualifications

• At least one of the active Coding Certifications is required and must be maintained.
• 5+ years inpatient or outpatient coding/auditing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, DRG methodologies, and coding compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a multidisciplinary team of certified coders, auditors, and reviewers.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance processes for DRG validation and coding audits.
• Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in accuracy, productivity, and interrater reliability.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership on audit outcomes and improvements.
