SSP Deutschland GmbH is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment, to provide guidance on employment and labor matters. The role includes advising leadership, influencing company policy, and ensuring compliance with laws across the U.S. and Canada.

The ideal candidate holds a J.D. and has significant experience in labor law. This full-time role supports a dynamic workplace culture, expected to work remotely, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of substantial labor and employment experience.
• Experience in a heavily unionized environment.
• Ability to travel up to 20% within the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Advise on day‑to‑day employee relations matters.
• Develop corporate employment policies compliant with legal requirements.
• Monitor labor and employment law developments.

Skills

Labor and employment counseling

Strong knowledge of federal employment laws

Drafting employment policies

Ability to explain complex legal issues

Relationship management with outside counsel

Education

J.D. from an ABA accredited law school

Virginia Bar membership
