Qualifications

• 3+ years editorial experience in trade publishing and managing books through editorial and production processes.
• Demonstrated editorial judgment and ability to provide substantive feedback.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage licensed publishing projects from manuscript development to publication with editorial direction.
• Identify, develop, and acquire new projects with commercial potential in MG/YA.
• Develop concepts within licensed worlds, including formats and story opportunities.
• Evaluate proposals and manuscripts and participate in acquisitions discussions.
• Build relationships with authors, agents, licensors, and colleagues across departments.
• Manage licensor submissions, feedback, and approvals with evolving deadlines.
• Collaborate with Design, Production, Marketing, Publicity, and Sales on plans.
• Oversee retail editions and paperback conversions with new editorial content.
• Identify opportunities to refresh backlist editions tied to trends and moments.
• Contribute to strategic growth of Delacorte’s licensed program.
