Job summary

Natera is seeking an Associate Director, Clinical Scientist in Oncology to lead clinical development for early cancer detection and cfDNA IVD programs. You will design and execute rigorous studies, drive data quality, and ensure timely delivery of outcomes that advance patient care.

Responsibilities include protocol authoring, regulatory interactions, CRF design, site initiation, CRO oversight, safety review, and strategic engagement with KOLs and investigators. Remote USA.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., RN, MS, or B.S. in a scientific field; advanced degree preferred (MS, PharmD, MD, or PhD).
• 8–10+ years of clinical research experience, including 3–5+ years in a management role.
• Experience in oncology and early cancer detection is highly preferred.
• Experience with In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory standards and Good Clinical Practices (GCP) is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop rigorous study concepts, including study design, schedule of assessments, endpoints, and eligibility criteria.
• Integrate stakeholder feedback and author protocol; respond to health authority feedback.
• Support regulatory interactions and author clinical sections for regulatory submissions.
• Provide protocol training and contribute to CRF design.
• Ensure manuals align with the protocol and engage investigators in study design.
