Optum Massachusetts is seeking an Associate Director of Economics for the Medex/Datawarehouse team to lead outside medical expenses analysis and forecasting. This remote role guides complex trend analyses, ensures data integrity, and partners with senior leadership to inform financial reporting.

You will manage a team of financial analysts, drive monthly forecasts, and collaborate with data warehouse and analytics groups to support payer and hospital cost management across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in financial data analysis.
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare or health insurance.
• Experience in supervisory or lead role.
• Background in financial modeling and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial data analysis and forecasting for Medex/Datawarehouse.
• Lead monthly outside medical expenses projections and reporting.
• Ensure data integrity and collaborate with auditors.
• Partner with business leaders to support financial performance.
