Merck & Co. in the U.S. Oncology division is seeking an Associate Director, Field Reimbursement Strategy to lead the vision, strategy, and governance for field reimbursement support of a novel individualized therapy.

This role partners with Market Access and Field Leadership to ensure access across the treatment pathway. You will design training, tools, and engagement models, define CRM needs, and align field activities with brand objectives while navigating payer and coverage challenges to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in pharma/biotech healthcare or related commercial functions.
• Experience developing field reimbursement, patient access, or provider engagement strategies.
• Strong understanding of reimbursement landscape including prior authorization, appeals, and provider workflows.
• Ability to establish field engagement models and align with brand objectives.

Responsibilities

• Define the field reimbursement strategy, support model, and engagement priorities to address patient access barriers and reimbursement challenges.
• Define FRM targeting, engagement triggers, and field priorities for optimal access and initiation.
• Establish non-promotional reimbursement and access resources, including education materials and prior authorization tools.
• Develop and execute training strategies to equip FRMs with knowledge and tools for reimbursement, coverage, and access requirements.
• Define engagement governance, escalation paths, and business requirements guiding FRM interactions.
• Partner with Data & Technology teams to define CRM capabilities, field visibility tools, and reporting solutions.
• Align FRM engagement with field leadership to meet treatment site needs and brand objectives.
• Leverage field and operational insights to identify gaps and translate findings into actionable improvements.
