Valmont Group's Remote Office in Tennessee is seeking an Associate Engineer to support structural analysis and design of utility products for the Valmont Utility Division. You will work with senior engineers, drafting, sales, and manufacturing to ensure designs meet customer specs, safety, and cost objectives.

Responsibilities include performing FEA, applying codes, translating customer requirements into manufacturable designs, and assisting with pricing and quotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 0–2 years of experience.
• Technical competence in structural engineering.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Detail-oriented with ability to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other engineering software.
• Apply engineering principles, standard procedures, and industry codes to complete design assignments.
• Interpret customer specifications and translate requirements into practical, manufacturable designs.
• Provide engineering support to drafting, sales, quoting, and project teams.
• Communicate technical information to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Assist with engineering‑related pricing and quotation activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure designs can be produced efficiently and cost‑effectively.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and team effectiveness.
