Job summary

The US Province of the Priests of the Sacred Heart (Dehonians) is seeking a Communications Director to lead integrated communications that advance the Province’s mission and strengthen engagement across North America.

The role oversees internal/external communications, digital media, brand stewardship, publications, and media relations. It requires a bachelor’s degree in communications and at least five years of experience with strong writing and digital skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications or related field.
• At least five years of communications experience.
• Excellent writing and digital communication skills.
• Familiarity with Catholic or faith-based organizations. Nonprofit, multimedia, media relations and crisis communications experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

The US Province of the Priests of the Sacred Heart (Dehonians) seeks a strategic, creative, and mission-driven Communications Director to lead integrated communications that advance the Province’s mission and strengthen engagement across North America.

This position oversees internal and external communications, digital media, brand stewardship, publications, and media relations. Responsibilities include managing the website and social media platforms, creating multimedia content, coordinating livestreamed events, supporting leadership communications, producing newsletters and publications, maintaining organizational records, and serving as the Province’s primary media contact and spokesperson.

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field, at least five years of communications experience, excellent writing and digital communication skills, and familiarity with Catholic or faith-based organizations. Nonprofit, multimedia, media relations, and crisis communications experience is preferred.
