The position emphasizes developing materials for public audiences, assisting with conferences, and helping manage corporate branding and AHJ-facing content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, political science, environmental studies, journalism or a similar field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in communications, public affairs, community engagement, or related campaigns.
• Strong writing, editing and research skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Familiarity with AI-enabled research or writing tools and ability to validate outputs.

Responsibilities

• Communications: assist with media monitoring, message development, and creation of materials for internal and external audiences.
• Support public-facing presentations and materials for conferences, meetings, and events.
• Help manage branding and public messaging across websites, social media, FAQs, and other materials.
• Community Engagement: conduct desktop research to identify permitting requirements and potential risks for projects.
• Assist in creating and maintaining community stakeholder engagement tracking mechanisms and tools.
