Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen in Peoria, IL is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to support case preparation, draft documents, and represent clients in court and other proceedings. Telecommuting is an option.

The ideal candidate has a JD, Illinois bar license, strong legal research and writing skills, and the ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision while collaborating with senior attorneys.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• License to Practice Law in Illinois; strong legal research, writing and analysis.
• Active bar admission in Illinois and good standing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents including briefs, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Represent clients in court, mediation, arbitration, and other proceedings.
• Maintain and manage a caseload with minimal supervision and timely delivery of services.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
• Negotiate settlements, prepare for trials, and participate in hearings.
• Telecommuting is an option.
