Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, managing active litigation files, advocating at hearings, and coordinating with clients and team members. A Washington license in good standing is required, with Alaska waiver as a potential path.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in Washington
• Willing to be waived into Alaska
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage a large caseload

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with team members and outside parties
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and discovery in active litigation files
• Review litigation case files to determine appropriate actions
• Advocate for the client’s interests at hearings and other settings
• Use internal software to update and document status of accounts
• Analyze litigation inventory reports to ensure proper workflow is followed
• Comply with client and firm procedures
• Travel to courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required
• Prepare for and represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
• Negotiate settlements to protect client interests
• Evaluate case merits and risk, offering strategic recommendations
• Maintain compliance with laws and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
