Job summary

Commence, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for Federal Health (CMS) in a remote capacity, supporting the Project Manager with day-to-day contract execution and CMS deliverables. The role involves regulatory reporting, JOA coordination with MACs, meeting management, and compliance tracking to ensure program success.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in healthcare program management or federal contracting, with 2+ years in Medicare FFS operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in healthcare program management, federal contracting, or related operational field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing complex systems and medical review workflow operations.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medicare FFS program operations.
• Master’s degree preferred; in lieu, Bachelor’s with 3 additional years of directly relevant experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in day-to-day contract execution; serve as PM backup during absences or unavailability.
• Own the regulatory reporting workstream end-to-end, including CMS reports, monthly status updates, and contractual deliverables.
• Lead coordination of JOAs with MACs, including scheduling, documentation, and compliance with CMS requirements.
• Manage the program meeting structure; prepare agendas, capture minutes, and track decisions and actions.
• Own compliance tracking across program workstreams, monitoring performance standards and deadlines.
• Manage complex systems and medical review workflow operations to align with CMS expectations.
• Interface with CMS on day-to-day operational matters with COR/CO as directed by the PM.
• Support contract transition activities and onboarding of new personnel.
