Job summary

ContactLink Solutions LLC is seeking US-based American Sign Language interpreters to provide professional interpretation services between ASL and spoken English. The role is fully remote for a full-time independent contractor with an immediate start following onboarding.

Requirements include fluency in ASL and English, 1 year interpreting experience preferred, RID/CDI certification preferred, and a solid understanding of Deaf culture.

Qualifications

• Fluency in ASL and English.
• Minimum 1 year interpreting experience preferred.
• RID/CDI certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of Deaf culture and communication needs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong written English skills.
• Proficiency with computers, email, internet, electronic scheduling, and basic office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to convey concepts and meaning without omissions or personal interpretation.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and effective interpretation between ASL and spoken English.
• Follow applicable national, state, and local licensing or certification requirements.
• Adhere to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Complete required documentation, assignments, and administrative tasks accurately and on time.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies, systems, and processes.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
• Communicate regularly with Team Leader and follow operational guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
