Job summary

ContactLink Solutions LLC seeks US-based American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to provide professional interpretation services between ASL and spoken English. The role supports Deaf, DeafBlind, hard-of-hearing, and oral individuals across various settings, ensuring clear communication.

This is a full-time independent contractor, fully remote position with immediate start after onboarding. Candidates should have ASL and English fluency, RID/CDI certification preferred, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Fluency in ASL and English required or strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year interpreting experience preferred.
• RID/CDI certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of Deaf culture and communication needs.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Strong written English skills.
• Proficiency with computers, email, internet, and scheduling tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation between ASL and spoken English.
• Follow applicable licensing or certification requirements.
• Adhere to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Complete required documentation, assignments, and administrative tasks on time.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies, systems, and processes.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
• Communicate regularly with Team Leader and follow guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking US-based American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters to provide professional interpretation services between ASL and spoken English.

The interpreter will work with Deaf, DeafBlind, hard-of-hearing, and oral individuals across a variety of settings, helping ensure clear, accurate, and effective communication.

Candidate Qualifications

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English


• Minimum 1 year of interpreting experience preferred


• RID/CDI certification preferred


• Strong understanding of Deaf culture and the experiences and communication needs of Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• Strong written English skills


• Proficiency with computers, email, internet, electronic scheduling, and basic office applications


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Ability to accurately convey concepts and meaning without omissions, additions, or personal interpretation


• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
