Job summary

UC San Diego Extension's Healthcare Education Department seeks a part-time ASCEND Program Assistant to help plan, implement, and administer the ASCEND program. This remote role includes advising students on programs, course options, and grades, and coordinating events and program activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service in a university or college setting.
• Experience implementing and coordinating new programs in continuing education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong grammar and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a team and discuss procedures and goals.
• Capable of fast-paced work with shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Strong organization and project management to handle complex tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, implementation, and administration of ASCEND program.
• Provide basic advising on programs, courses, and grades to students.
• Help organize and implement events, activities, and communications.
• Support development of marketing plans and collateral as needed.
• Collaborate with Instructors and other DES staff as required.
