Cribl, a B2B SAAS data observability software company, is hiring a proactive Technical Revenue Manager to join our finance team. In this role, you will be ASC 606 subject matter expert, authoring policies for new offerings to launch compliantly and scalably.

You will partner with Product, Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk to document revenue accounting policies, write technical position papers, and ensure accurate POBs and allocations across complex arrangements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Active CPA license.
5+ years of accounting experience with at least 2+ years of Technical Revenue experience.
Deep, practical ASC 606 expertise applied to multi-element, consumption-based, and hybrid arrangements.
Direct experience with standalone selling price, performance obligation identification, variable consideration, material rights, contract modifications, and principal versus agent analysis.
Demonstrated technical accounting research and writing skills; documentation-heavy role.
Judgment about scope to reach defensible conclusions.
Ability to influence without direct authority and explain technical concepts to non-accountants.
Experience with revenue controls and SOX audits.
Advanced Excel and ERP/CRM tools experience (NetSuite, Salesforce).
NetSuite ARM experience is a plus.
Interest in applying AI and automation to finance operations.

Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Partnership and Policy Design: Partner with Product Management, Sales, Enterprise Applications, Legal, and Deal Desk during inception of new product initiatives to assess revenue recognition under ASC 606.
Technical Accounting Papers: Research, resolve, and write technical revenue position papers documenting accounting conclusions and economic substance of complex transactions.
Commercial Structure Evaluation: Evaluate new commercial structures and deployment models to determine accounting treatment and POBs with strategic recommendations.
Process Optimization: Lead cross-functional initiatives to scale technical revenue processes and translate insights into system and policy improvements.
Audit and SOX: Serve as primary contact for technical revenue matters with external auditors; prepare support packages and maintain SOX control documentation.
Close and Reporting Support: Assist month-end and quarterly close, revenue reporting, and flux analysis.
Ad Hoc Projects: Support merger and acquisition diligence or post-close revenue integration.
