Job summary

Voldex in the United States is seeking an experienced Art Director to lead and scale the Art function across a growing live-service game portfolio. You will mentor Art Leads, shape visual direction, and ensure teams deliver high-quality, distinctive art across projects.

The role requires strong artistic judgment, exceptional people leadership, and a deep understanding of art production. You will partner with cross-functional leaders to balance creative vision with production constraints and help

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of an Art function across multiple games and teams.
• Extensive people management experience including coaching and performance feedback.
• Experience leading art directions and hiring in a live-service environment.

Responsibilities

• Own health, scalability, and performance of the Art function across all games.
• Lead, coach, and develop Art Leads to own visual direction in their titles.
• Partner with Art Leads to establish distinctive visual directions per game.
• Maintain portfolio-level capacity, roadmap demand, and delivery risks.
• Allocate resources to support roadmaps and hiring.
• Build networks for high-quality art talent and engage contractors as needed.
• Lead end-to-end art hiring and onboarding of talent.
• Establish art standards, workflows, and sign-offs to raise quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product, Producers, Engineers, and leadership to plan art work.
• Guide teams through tradeoffs between artistic quality and technical limits.
• Ensure high-quality art delivery without sustained crunch across games.
• Manage performance of the Art leadership team with feedback and development support.
