Koolhaus Games Inc. is seeking an Art Director to lead and evolve the artistic vision for our games in the United States. You will oversee visual development from concept to completion and coordinate the art team across projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality assets.

The role demands strong leadership, exceptional communication, and deep knowledge of game art production, from 2D to 3D, with a track record of mentoring artists and guiding asset creation.

Qualifications

• Shipped at least 2 AAA titles as Art Director or 3+ AAA titles as Lead Artist in games or film
• Expert knowledge in all aspects of art production including lighting, 2D & 3D, concept design, related software

Responsibilities

• Create, develop and maintain an innovative artistic vision for the game
• Oversee the visual development to completion and coordinate art team activities
• Communicate visual design with stakeholders
• Lead regular art team meetings to review assets
• Develop art documents such as Art Design, Style Guides, and Asset documents
• Mentor artists and conduct annual reviews
• Develop strategies for professional development of the art team
• Develop a world-class art team
