Job summary

ECS is seeking an ARPA-H Business Financial Manager (BFM) to support the ARPA-H program remotely. You will help build and manage program budgets, forecast expenditures, and prepare financial documents for OTAs, grants, and contracts, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Program Managers, scientists, engineers, and external partners, with a focus on financial tracking, risk assessment, and performance reporting for a major health science accelerator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience directly supporting a DARPA Technical Office in a BFM role.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a federal government financial management role, preferably in an R&D environment.
• Strong understanding of Federal financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Experience working with OTAs, grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements.
• Experience with financial modeling tools.
• Experience with Budgeting, PPBE, resource management.

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Managers with development and execution of program budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenditures.
• Prepare and manage financial documents such as OTAs, grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements.
• Track and manage program milestones and deliverables, ensuring compliance with funding agreements.
• Monitor and report on program performance metrics, providing insights to PMs and leadership.
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts for assigned programs.
• Analyze financial data and trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
