Job summary

AIA Orange County is seeking an Architectural Project Manager – Construction Administration to serve as on-site representative during construction, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, government agencies and staff to ensure plans meet codes and contracts.

The role leads construction administration, manages bidding, meetings, RFIs, shop drawings, change orders, and site observations, while overseeing staffing, budgets, and project performance for multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 5 years of construction administration, architectural project management, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, building codes, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and construction phase activities and attend construction meetings.
• Review RFIs, shop drawings, change orders, and progress billings/pay applications.
• Conduct regular site visits and monitor compliance with project documents.
• Prepare punch lists and Certificates of Substantial Completion and coordinate closeout.
• Collaborate with leadership on staffing, budgets, and project performance.
• Support invoicing, billing reviews, and collections activities.
